    • The Director of Institutional Advancement leads the creation and implementation of an overarching marketing and communications strategy to maximize earned and contributed income at the CSO. This person oversees all public communications, marketing/development campaigns, and brand strategy. As part of the implementation of its new strategic plan, CSO is embarking on a comprehensive effort to increase community visibility, execute an endowment campaign, and grow the organization into its 90th season (2027-2028) and arrival of a new Music Director (2027). The Director of Institutional Advancement will work closely with the President & CEO to execute this strategic vision and will manage the Marketing and Development team to meet specific goals.

    • The Librarian & Archivist is responsible for providing and organizing all the music needed for performances, maintaining the orchestra’s library of parts and scores, and serving as the archivist for CSO history and archival projects. In addition, they will assist the Artistic Operations Manager in the smooth execution of all rehearsals and concerts.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & EDUCATION INTERN – Applications are accepted until due date, or when the position is filled.

    • Assists with implementation and creation of educational and community programs.
    • Will work with the Director of Education and Community Engagement to execute programming for the 2025-2026 season, plan for the 2026-2027 season and create new ideas for the education and community engagement department.
    • Primarily remote internship with possibility for in-person experience and some in-person requirements. Ideal for students. 5-15 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT INTERN – Applications are accepted until due date, or when the position is filled.

The CSO is seeking a motivated and creative intern who is eager to learn more about nonprofit arts administration, with a focus on marketing, communications, and fundraising. This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional arts organization while allowing the intern to develop their voice, vision, and confidence as a communicator and arts advocate.

Interns will receive mentorship throughout the semester, with opportunities to contribute ideas, manage real projects, and gain valuable insight into the operations of a nonprofit performing arts organization.

Learning Outcomes:

      • Understand how to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns for live events
      • Gain experience using tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, WordPress, and Meta Business Suite
      • Learn how arts organizations build and retain audiences
      • Become familiar with donor engagement strategies and fundraising fundamentals
      • Build a portfolio of writing, digital content, and project work applicable to future roles
      • Strengthen communication, organization, and creative problem-solving skills
