This series of instrument trio performances introduces students (ages 3-6) to the world of the orchestra in a fun, interactive, and musical way. Each trio performance is programmed around a children’s story book and features a different instrument family (strings, brass, and woodwind) performing a variety of orchestral repertoire.

Gravity Is Bringing Me Down
By Wendelin Van Draanen and Cornelia Li
When Leda wakes up by falling out of bed, she knows that gravity is in a very bad mood. Again.
Sure enough, she struggles with stumbles and bumbles at home, trips and blips on the bus, and bashes and crashes in the classroom. But a lesson on gravity helps her understand what’s really going on. And after a visit to a science center, Leda’s mood is lifted…just in time for her to tumble– happily!–into bed.

With the help of his father, he sets out on a journey to make sense of his feelings. It is a journey that will take him to a park, then up into the branches of a tree, and from there all the way to the stars . . .
