Get ready to launch with the Canton Symphony Orchestra on a journey through space and music! This concert will take students through the various movements of Gustav Holst’s classic “The Planets”, but played in planetary order. How was Holst influenced by the wonders of space, and how do we recreate these sounds and sights on Earth? Learn about the orchestra through each of the planets in our galaxy and how they relate to the different parts needed to create a multi-movement orchestral work like this galactic classic.
