 All applicants are required by federal law to demonstrate eligibility to accept employment with the Canton Symphony Orchestra. Canton Symphony Orchestra is a per-service orchestra. We will make reasonable efforts to provide overnight lodging at local residences for out of town musicians in addition to mileage reimbursement as outlined in the Master Agreement.

The per service rate is $126.96, plus 5.995% of scale ($126.96) pension contributions (AFM-EPF).  Per service rate for the first daily Ensemble service (up to 1 hour period) is $101.57.  Some services require day-time availability. Cartage rate is 4.5% ($5.71) of the per service rate for applicable instruments. Principal and Doubling rates applied when applicable.

Group A roundtrip rate is $2.80 (20-34 miles one way)
Group B roundtrip rate is $8.96 (35-49 miles one way)
Group C roundtrip rate is $12.88 (50-64 miles one way)
Group D roundtrip rate is $18.76 (65-89 miles one way)
Group E roundtrip rate is $25.20 (90+ miles one way)
