Canton Youth Symphonies

Matthew Jenkins Jaroszewicz, Music Director and Conductor

The Canton Youth Symphonies offer aspiring young musicians a professional learning environment focused on the highest artistic standards. The CYS provide students with an outlet for musical expression, growth, and exploration in a challenging and nurturing environment. Participants rehearse weekly in preparation for three concerts annually, and students have the opportunity to work closely with Canton Symphony Orchestra musicians and guest artists.

CYS is a unique outlet for musical growth and social involvement and can serve as an effective springboard into a college major and eventual career as a performing musician or music educator.  Whether a student chooses that path or not, participation in CYS encourages all of its members to enjoy a life filled with the appreciation and joy of music.
