The Canton Symphony Chorus joins Gabrielle Haigh and Mikhail Smigelskii on Sanctum (Sarah Quartel), Te Deum, Op. 103 (Dvorak), Daphnis and Chloe Suites 1 and 2 (Ravel). Other composers on the program include Strauss and Mozart.

Michelle Cann joins to perform Florence Price’s Piano Concerto in One Movement. Other works include Le casseur maudit (Franck) and Francesa da Rimini (Tchaikovsky).

Rachel Barton Pine joins to perform Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, Op. 47 in d minor. Other works include Overture on America the Beautiful (Wang Jie), and Pictures at an Exhibition (Mussorgsky).  

 

This concert will also feature a collaboration with the Canton Museum of Art and Massillon Museum. Both will be choosing pieces from their own collections to feature during Pictures at an Exhibition.
