Making a Difference

Simply put, the Canton Symphony Orchestra could not survive without its volunteers.  All members of the Board of Trustees serve as volunteers, as do the non-trustee members Board Committees.  The members of the Symphony League of Canton, and you can learn more about joining them by following the Symphony League link on the left.  But there are plenty of other ways to help out as a volunteer as well.

Volunteer in Education

Musical Instrument Petting Zoo
Assisting children with the first encounter with a musical instrument 

Instrument Building
Helping children with hands-on instrument-building activities at public events (e.g. Zing in the City)

Docent
Helping out with the educational concerts of the Canton Symphony Orchestra

Mailings
Assisting with large and/or complex mailings to audience, musicians, schools, etc.

Covering the phones during staff meetings, etc.
