CANTON SYMPHONY TEACHER’S GUIDES 2010-2011
Teacher study guides are created by well-trained, qualified music educators and orchestra education staff for each of the educational concerts to assist teachers in preparing their students for the event prior to the live concert experience. The guides include background information on the composers and musical pieces being performed as well as lesson plans and activities that tie the musical components and academic content standards together. A compact disc recording with excerpts of the musical selections to be performed is also included.
