CANTON, OHIO (November 29, 2016) – It may not be Auntie Mame’s “carols at the spinet”, but if you “need a little Christmas” the Canton Symphony Orchestra’s next ConverZations might be just what you are looking for.  Michelle Mullaly, President and CEO of the orchestra will host a Holiday sing-along on December 12 at noon. ConverZations is a series of free public discussions, held at the Zimmermann Symphony Center (2331 17th Street NW), and features a variety of musicians and music-lovers alike. Sponsored by T. K. & Faye A. Heston and the Ada C. & Helen J. Rank Charitable Trust, the ConverZations Series will continue on the second Monday of every month until April 2017.

Mullaly has been President & CEO of the Canton Symphony since May 2011. Under her leadership, the Canton Symphony has completed a $5.4 million capital campaign to build the Zimmermann Symphony Center which is the home of the administrative offices of the Canton Symphony Orchestra.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music History and Theory from Hiram College.  For the ConverZations program, she will sing and accompany on piano.  “Attendees enjoyed the holiday programs in the past so I thought it would be fun for everyone to come and sing some holiday tunes on their lunch break,” Mullaly says about the program.

ConverZations attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch, and the orchestra provides coffee and a light dessert. For more information on upcoming ConverZations lectures and other events run by the Canton Symphony Orchestra, visit www.cantonsymphony.org/converzations.
