"Take a Seat"

Since 1978, over one million people have
taken a seat inside Umstattd Performing
Arts Hall to enjoy live music, theatre,
    dance and more.  Umstattd Performing
Arts Hall is a Canton treasure, serving the
daily needs of the Canton City School
    District, the Canton Symphony Orchestra
    and countless other community
    organizations. Audiences have enjoyed
    everything from student productions to
    professional performances featuring world
    class musicians.
Just as you know the excitement of taking
your seat in anticipation of a live
performance, you also know that after 35
    years of performances and everyday
school use, the seats inside Umstattd Hall
have seen better days. We need to
    replace those seats!

We invite you to become a part of Canton's history, and its future, by sponsoring a new seat in Umstattd Performing Arts Hall.  The "Take a Seat" initiative is intended to give our community an affordable and meaningful way to directly participate in the Hall's renovation which has already begun.  Recognize a group, class, or commemorate a special achievement or significant event by placing your name on one new seat...or maybe an entire row of seats!
